Yesterday was my first day of volunteering with CRI's adaptive rowing program. I worked with Jenny Sichel, CRI's para-rowing coordinator, and Tom, one of the adaptive coaches, and two rowers in the General Para-rowing program. It was awesome to meet all of them and get introduced to the equipment.

Because the rowers couldn't go out on the water, we stayed inside and erged, so I was lucky enough to be able to try out the different types of adaptive erg equipment that they had available. I rowed a few strokes on a LTA erg with an adapted seat and a TA erg with a fixed seat and leg straps, and I got to see one of the AS ergs with a full fixed seat and chest straps.

I will be at CRI with this group every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6 - 8:30, and I hope to get a lot of primary research done with them and through Jenny.
